if byler is bad writing…
then giving will an epilogue boyfriend is abysmal writing, imo.
to be clear, mods, i am not trying to start an endgame debate. pls pls pls don’t take this down 🙏
i say this because i see a lot of people who aren’t bylers saying that this should be how will’s story ends, but it doesn’t make much sense. unless they plan on randomly introducing a love interest who we’ve never seen before in volume two, and building a plot line with them (so unlikely), an epilogue boyfriend is a bad idea.
if #those people are right and robin’s speech had absolutely nothing to do with byler and all to do with will accepting himself, his queerness, and accepting that he’s gonna be alone, then wouldn’t the next step in his arc, logically, be for him to be…alone?
i’m not a byler or nothing kind of person, but it would feel like such a “here, damn!” moment to give the main character of the show a random love interest who probably won’t get a name and who will probably only appear during the last 10-15 minutes of the show
what do y’all think about an epilogue boyfriend for will?
