Trading players at a discount for one week

I've been asked about this before any trades have been offered but am curious how you would respond/handle this situation.

We have a punishment for our last-place team and for entertainment purposes have lucked into next week being an all-or-nothing matchup where the loser clinches last place. I have been asked by a playoff team about the ethics and legality of buying players with the week off at a discount, as key players in this matchup (Kittle and Diggs) are both on bye.

On one hand, trading for a lesser starter will help the last place teams in their final game, so I don't think it's collusion. But on the other hand, allowing a trade that both parties identify as uneven doesn't sit right with me.
