Have you ever lost friends because you didn't take their advice and they got tired of it?

I am having a hard situation with my father being old and stubborn, there is one disaster after another with him, they aren't pretty and he is awful to me. Always has been

I can't just leave him hanging It is ruining my life and I know I am doing the wrong thing for my sanity and should walk away I keep not being able to do that

One friend basically said it's my problem and thinks I should be nicer to him because he is "old" He has been a selfish bastard all his life, and is now in decline and awful she knows this and thinks I should step up anyway, she is blocked

Other friend is mad because I didn't take her well thought out advice seriously (i did but I didn't take it) and she resents me for all the energy she spent trying to help me

she is blocked as well

As of now I have no friends and I am actually OK with that, when you realize people really arent your friends after years it's disappointing but at least I realized it before I let them waste any more of my time
