People hiding vendor details

Increasingly I am seeing posts where people are posting either for recommendations for jewellery or vendors or just karma farming and would selectively not respond to comments asking for store locations. You can’t ask for recommendations and then not help people with their asks. Is it me or does anyone else find it weird? I have even seen 2-3 posts for same thing without actually giving away details. If it’s not karma farming, then I don’t know what is!
