Kratos the deicidal maniac: after Ares, the greek god of war, manipulated him into killing his own family, he would have the ashes of his own family fastened to his skin, making his skin ghostly pale, earning him the moniker "Ghost of Sparta", as well as Zeus betraying him by stabbing Kratos with a blade of olympus and later destroy Sparta, he would end up killing zeus and other numerous greek gods in God of War III, and thus, making Kratos arguably be one of the most justified villains in all of fiction

guts, born just to suffer: he was born from a corpse of his mother, forced to constantly battle since infancy, and was raised by a abusive mercenary Gambino, and was betrayed by his former best friend griffith, now named femto

squee! (character): a child born just to be neglected and traumatized, his trauma and neglect is so severe that raises a question: "how much suffering, neglect and trauma can squee endure before even Satan himself have to step in?"

Moxxie the Unfortunate Son: even before he was the butt of loona's fat jokes and having his privacy constantly disrespected by his boss blitzo, his abusive, misogynistic father, crimson, was a mafia boss, which is not a very good start to begin with, his father, crimson would abuse moxxie for God knows how long, the worst act of abuse was forcing his son moxxie to kill his mother, leaving moxxie to be abused by his mafia father for God knows how long, possibly even in profound adulthood

[very sad trope] fictional/mythological characters who are condemned to being a trauma magnet and a puppet of suffering
