Is it healthy for kids if parents admit when they’re wrong?
I grew up in a home where adults were never wrong, even when they obviously were.
Now as an adult, I’m realizing how much that shaped the way I handle conflict and responsibility. It makes me wonder… should parents apologize when they’re wrong? Or does admitting mistakes actually help teach kids accountability and respect?
I’d love to hear how others think about this and whether modeling humility and self-reflection might actually make us better parents or people overall.
