Filing taxes for the first time at 30.

Taxes

Hi Im trying to prepare to file taxes.
I only worked- I don't have a business, stocks, or anything of the sort. Im single, never been married, no kids.
I worked remote in NY, but my job is based in Chicago. I made no more than about $42,000 this year max, no bonuses, and I pay rent to my friend for renting a room.

Details that may be relevant:
Under the taxes section of my paycheck it says "FITW, IL, MED, and SS"
State filing status s-0
401K has $1k
I got a stipend for $25 each month

Are there any documents I need to fill out aside from the 1040? Are there any details I could use to maximize my return? Will I have to pay back taxes? I've been below the poverty line my entire life so I really don't know, and I don't use financial assistance bc I always get rejected (I assume bc I've never done taxes?) Can I deduct my internet bill for the months I was working?
