Planning to visit PS+Joshua Tree+Indian Wells Tennis Tourny

I’ve visited PS before but want to have 2-3 full days to hang out and walk around. Then I want to have at least 2 full days at Joshua Tree for hiking (never been), and probably 1 full day at the Indian Wells tennis Tournament. I’ve never been to a major tennis tournament so not sure if 1 full day is enough and if there’s much to do in the area aside from the resorts and the tournament. Is that a reasonable itinerary?

I’m wondering if it’s best to stay in PS the whole time or by Joshua Tree, or split between both? I’ll probably get a car for the whole trip too.
