Improv Autopsy with Mark Hervey

If you were watching Comedy Central in the nineties you might have come across a music video of a bunch of guys wearing and singing about tube tops. This was material by the Bert Fershners - a sketch comedy group out of Madison, Wisconsin’s ComedySportz that landed in New York, performing underground indie comedy alongside UCB and The State and opening ComedySportz NYC. One such Bert Fershner is Mark Hervey.

Both episodes of Mark Hervey’s Improv Autopsy interview are out now, and Mark’s talents extend far beyond the world of comedy — he’s also an accomplished musician and editor.

Come take a listen to track the days of ComedySportz Madison from the Pizza Hut to the Wendy’s years, stay and hear about what happened when all the mikes went out at an improvised opera at Milwaukee Summerfest. 🎤☀️
