When/ how did you learn how little people actually pay attention/ perceive your existence?
This can be a painful one to the ego but I’m seeing how freeing it can truly be. I think I greatly overestimate how much people pay attention to my life or care about what existence. It would certainly give me more leeway to work on the shadow and deal with different emotions. I think part of me asks somewhat controversial questions on this sub because I realize how little people really think of them, which has helped me to learn interesting angles on being human, and there’s also a part of me that wonders if the moderators are colluding against me sometimes or if there is some invisible force that doesn’t want to acknowledge what I’m putting out.
It’s daunting how much more responsibility I need to take over my life once I learn how little people are invested in my wellness and growth but it’s also so freeing to appreciate how little my life really is since I spend so much of my time trying to reckon with my persona image.
When were you able to learn this? Can anyone ever really appreciate this or would that be abit too spooky almost?
