Help with HDMI cords giving a blank display

Open | Hardware

Yesterday I unplugged my PC and monitor’s HDMI cords to use for something else and now that I’ve plugged it back in a display will not show up. I know that the computer is working because the RGB displays for my keyboard and mouse activate, I can hear sounds when I open apps or play a soundboard, and my SteamVR detects the computer as on and running with Steam open. The monitor does not say “No signal detected” like it does with other unused inputs, but rather the screen is just black. Also, when I use SteamVR to try and view my desktop, I cannot see anything either, but it does connect to my PC. Does anyone know what I should do? The cord works fine as I used it yesterday but my PC won’t transmit anything but a black screen to my monitor.

I have confirmed that this is the right HDMI cord, the right input (monitor only has 1 HDMI input anyway), the cord is secure into both the computer and monitor, and that the computer is running as it should.

Additional Info:

Monitor: Samsung Curved Monitor Model c27f396fhn

PC: iBUYPOWER on Windows 11 (can provide specs if necessary)

Thanks in advance!
