What happened to the primordial domain in treasure yellow heaven?

I must've missed something while reading, Great Sun agreed to FY's request to put half of his primordial domain gains in TYH, he put it there, but what happened to it afterwards, apparently FY still didn't get the necessary refinement path attainment, but he got it another way? (Just figured the last bit out with his own mind?) Is this right?
