would it be wrong to date after vowing to never date again

ok, i (23 f) got to give some background information. growing up, i never had great relationships. i don't know the rules on this subreddit but it has heavy topics such as abuse, sa, and drug abuse. but last year i got into my first serious relationship that felt secure. though it felt great, i didn't realize until way later that i was in a mixed bipolar episode the entire relationship. as the relationship went on, my delirium got worse and my mental health declined. at first my ex (19 m) was ok with helping me through everything. slowly he would get more annoyed when i would get upset or show clear signs i wasn't doing well, saying i was selfish and was upset i wasn't as affectionate physically. towards the end we started arguing a lot and i found out shortly after the break up he lied about pretty much everything during the relationship and most likely left when i wasn't most vulnerable as he possibly planned ahead of time. since i was the most vulnerable i have been in a while and struggling mentally already, i eventually lost to the episode and did attempt for the 3rd time. after some time i couldn't think of him, not because i wasn't over him, but because i couldn't forgive myself for being so caught up in a guy that i would ignore my health and let a man lie when looking back it was so obvious. since then i vowed to never date because i was afraid i would never be able to be in a relationship and not make sure to keep myself healthy and well. it has been 8 months since we broke up. i have been very vocal i don't want to date and i am now hoping to be a single foster mom in the future. just when i am doing so much better, found great meds, and have learned the most effective forms of self love, this man (20 m) had to come into my life. sadly he is a coworker (wouldn't be my first time dating someone i worked with). he is so sweet, caring, quiet, and cute. he is known for being really shy, so i do what i do with any new hires and always make sure to say hi and ask how they are doing, as well as always make sure to check in and see if they need help with literally anything. slowly we started talking more, and when people found out we will have actual conversations, they get shocked cause he talks to no one and if he does, it's just a short few sentences. i hate that i have a crush on him because i am finally doing the best i have in years, but i am starting to have genuine feelings. should i go against my new beliefs to never date again to try and talk with him outside of work or should i continue my strike against relationships?
