The biggest thing I've learned in mental health
I've struggled all my life defining myself with my own "disabilities" expecting the world to cater to my needs. Harsh reality, the world doesn't. As soon as I took my own mental health and my own "disabilities" as my responsibility, my life changed forever. I stopped identifying with my own short comings as it was manifested and only limited me. I focused on myself. The world doesn't care about my problems, only I should. What better person than myself to care about me? How should I expect other people to care? Why shouldn't I? If I want to make a difference for others, shouldn't I just take responsibility for me? We focus on justice against others way too much and don't focus on our selves. The world would be a much better place if everyone puts all their focus on being a better person rather than worrying about how bad other people are. We all have a mirror, we should use it.
