PS3 slim HDMI signal

Hello everyone, I have a ps3 slim that isn’t getting hdmi output. I tried holding down the power button until it reset the video settings and I replaced the hdmi port itself. Both didn’t work. When I turn on my ps3 with the HDMI plugged in my tv will notice and ask me if I want to switch. To me that says it’s sending a signal to the tv but there’s another problem with the system. Any advice?
