Excitement in Wa

I'm planning on flying home sometime this January to begin the proceedings for a traditional marriage. Due to some circumstances I wasnt able to return home for 30 something years, so I do not know Ghana well. I am going to be spending my majority of my time in Wa after landing in Accra and spending a few days at my family house. Does anyone know of places to go or things to do in Wa? The last time I went I was paraded around to the villages and didnt spend much time in Wa itself.
