I (freshly 18M) feel unhappy in my relationship with my (18F) girlfriend

Don’t get me wrong I love this woman so much and I genuinely care for her and do not want to hurt her, but at the same time I don’t want to be in this anymore. She has moved 2 hours away for college btw. I have felt like this in the past, and it has caused us struggles, but I just feel like I need time alone and time to do what makes me happy outside of being in a relationship. I feel strangled to be honest, which is strange because we rarely get to see each other, I just don’t know what to do. We have been together for over a year.
