Confusion about 2HB follow up.

You all gave me fabulous responses and I wanted to provide and update/ seek more advice.

I went to coaching today and after my coach told me that I should be barely using my left hand, I mentioned what was discussed. I mentioned that I had heard that some people say it’s a personal preference and many pros use their left hand more.

He said that’s not true and that if that was the case they should just do a left hand forehand. To demonstrate the effectiveness, the rest of the lesson he instead coached me through one handed back hand and told me it was better.

He said my shot was looking a lot better, but I don’t really agree. When he asked how I felt about it, I said I mentioned how I had reservations especially since one-handed is going out of fashion a bit. He said this was mainly because people learn tennis very young and are too small to hold the racquet with one hand, but the one handed is just a better shot.

I feel a bit despondent after the lesson. Should I say anything? Should I get coaching at a different place?
