S1 & S2 hunting differences

Hey there!

I just had a question about hunting pokemon between the two consoles. I'm currently on the 1. It plays great, imo. I'm still also new to the Legends playstyle.

I was wondering how the two system handles it. Take, say, Froakie, for instance. It takes maybe 5-10 minutes if I miss it.

And same with an Eevee and Dratini/Dragonair to load back it. Is it the same on Switch 2?

I just need better info on how I approach hunt for shinies. Or if my interest in getting a S2 is valid enough.
