The broadway show

I know this has probably been asked before, but I really want to understand why the creators would put important canon/story content in a Broadway show. The Netflix series has fans from all over the world who can’t experience the play in person. So why make such a decision?

I only even found out about it after Season 5 dropped, when people on Instagram started posting theories based on the stage show.

P.S. This is the kind of thing that pushed me away from Marvel too.
