Krabi/Ao Nang stay, advice for Railay Beach.

I have 6 nights to plan for the beach part of my vacation in January. I’m wondering if it makes sense to split 3 nights in ao nang and 3 nights on railay beach or if i should do all six at one or the other. We are doing 4 nights in Bangkok, 4 nights in chiang mai and capping our trip on the beach. Really want to spend the last few nights relaxing and soaking in the views from the beach. Originally I was going to do three nights in Ao nag and 3 nights on phi phi but couldn’t find the relaxing resort we wanted there. Found a nice hotel in Ao nag on what seems to be a hill with nice views buts it’s not on the beach. Is Railay worth changing hotels to be on the beach? I know we can day trip there so that’s what’s giving me doubts. Any advice or tips or experiences are appreciated. Yes i know there are similar posts, yes i know its busy season and thats part of whats worrying me. Figuring Ao nang i can do the street market and other local things and Railay can relax for last couple days. First time in Thailand so im not really sure what to expect.
