Should I keep a pre roll in my checked bag or carryon?

I’m traveling tmrw and I want to know if it’s possible to get one pre roll thru the airport. I bought it legally, but ik tsa has other rules. I was planning on putting it in my checked but I heard they have dogs sniff all checked bags for substances. Has anyone done this and have any pointers?
