AITAH for spending time with a friend?

I’m pissed, so I’m probably not going to depict the people in a good light, but when I did hang out with them, they seemed like good people. Keep that in mind.

It all started when I was lonely after a big schism in my old friend group, which left me with basically no friends, so I clung to the two friends that stuck with me, let’s call them Bill and John. One day, when I’m hanging out with John, his friends meet up with him and I’m kind of incorporated into John’s friend group, and by proxy, Bill was too. A few weeks go by and, eventually, I’m pulled off to the side by a member of the group and matter of factly told that “Nobody likes me there”

When I tried hanging out with Bill, they always interrupt saying that they want to hang out with him too, but they don’t want me there for that. I hate the fact that they think they’re so fucking entitled that think they are the sole people who deserve the right to talk to the friend that I introduced to them. When I asked Bill about it, he said he did vibe with me, he just doesn’t like conflict.

So, AITAH for trying to hang out with one of the rare people that actually vibe with me?
