Can I use sheening or shading inks with a Pilot Namiki (f)?

New to to fountain pens and I inherited a Pilot Namiki, fine nib. It's beautiful and I love writing with it. I currently have a non-sheening, non-shading, non- shimmer ink in it (side note: is there a term for that?). I was informed by my local pen club to not use shimmer inks with this pen. Can I put a shading ink in this pen? Can I put a sheening ink in this pen? I tried searching for an answer on this sub and didn't see one! My preliminary research says the feed is more important than the nib in determining compatibility with sheen and shimmer inks. But I don't know anything about the feed of this pen. I do feel that it writes pretty wet with De Atramentis Aubergine, in my inexperienced opinion. When I received it first, I had to clean out a lot of dried ink in the nib by soaking it overnight and flushing many times with a syringe. Would any "damage" done by sheen or shade inks be as bad as this? I am not interested in (and am afraid of) taking the feed apart or flossing the tines.
