I actually like airplane food and i don’t get the hate
I lick the foil lid. The tray lands on my lap like a tiny gift, steam curling with that weird chicken-ish smell, and i grin. Honestly, i’m the freak who eats every cube of gelatinous carrot.
People act like it’s prison rations but last month i flew coach, forked the rubbery pasta at 30k feet, and still wanted seconds. Maybe my mom’s cooking just set the bar low, but those overcooked noodles tasted like altitude and adventure and i missed my stop on purpose to finish dessert.
Yeah it’s not Michelin, but it’s also not frozen pizza at 2am or whatever i burn at home. I pay for the ticket, the meal’s free(ish), and i feel like a kid opening lunchables in the sky,let me have this.
Am i the only one who unironically looks forward to that foil-wrapped brick, or do you actually like the snack boxes they sell for $12 instead?
