The whole series feel like it should've been on the Hallmark Channel.

Gosh the writing in this series...it's terrible. We've watched what amounts to the complete IT movie and there's not a single storyline or thread that compliments the original movie's plot, tone, interest, friendship, anything. Examples: Pennywise kryptonite (magic knife), this is supposed to be bravery, not a magic weapon lol. Leroy Hanlon (a pilot), running around with infantry, kills another soldier, his general just pats him on the back. Lynching in Maine...why is Maine portrayed as 1940 Alabama? Maine had one lynching in 1873...one, yet you'd think that behavior was the norm. I keep thinking it's going to get better and it just gets dumber.
