How has your skin affected your mental health?
For me, I had severe cystic acne all throughout high school and even to this day, I'm still dealing with it but too a much lesser degree. I remember when it was really bad it impacted my self confidence so much. Like I wouldn't want to go outside, see friends, or even look in the mirror. Everywhere I went, I felt like everyone was just staring at my skin. I could go on and on about it but I guess the best summary would be that it genuinely made me feel helpless.
I know it's a bit of a deep one, but for everyone who didn't win the skin genetic lottery, I would love to hear about how your skin affected your mental health if you're willing to share :)
