Where in Melbourne feels “overrated” and why?

I’m curious what spots in Melbourne people think are a bit overrated.

Not talking about places that are bad, just places everyone hypes up but you go there and think… “yeah it’s fine, but why is everyone obsessed with it?”

Could be a suburb, a restaurant, a bar, a market, an event—whatever.

For me it’s probably St Kilda foreshore. Every guidebook acts like it’s this iconic must-see spot, but half the time it’s windy, the beach is mid, and parking is a nightmare.
