Ex-friend cut from group.
So, this story will be needing a LOT of context. To summarize, there was a person in my friend group that has been doing a lot of lying, loves to blame everyone but herself for literally everything, and is completely inconsiderate of others. This lead my bf (essentially the group leader), a majority of the group, and myself to decide to remove her from the friend group. It all sounds like it should be an easy one-and-done type of thing, right? If we all agree, and 2 people just don't really care either way, surely there should be no further issues...
Her boyfriend is also in the group. And is evidently quite foolish, because he was literally warned of what happened with her last 2 relationships the day they started dating, yet still trusted her and trusted that not one singular person in the group would have the spine to eventually do something about the continuous problems she was causing. So, naturally he's upset and not really talking to anyone that the ex-friend believes was involved, or at least I'd assume that it's who ex-friend thinks is to blame (obviously not her own doing).
Now, here's what her bf was warned of around 5-ish months ago; at the end of the first relationship she had since moving here, she claimed that her ex had been toxic, abusive, and even SAd her. Now, at first I did believe this, as did everyone else, because it's kinda dick-ish to just assume that someone is lying about something so serious. Another thing to note is that none of us really interacted with her ex enough to be able to tell if he would reasonably be one to do that (the way people are in our town, you can certainly tell). It wasn't until after her pattern of lying was recognized that we kinda started to suspect that maybe it could've been a lie. For the second relationship, which was more so just talking, but not something to ignore, she attempted to ghost the person she was talking to, kind of? But also told everyone else that she broke it off with him, when there was no clear message stating this. She had been talking to someone in the group, calling him L. They both seemed to really like each other and I was kinda wing-womaning on both sides. Because they were both fresh out of long-term relationships, they agreed to take things very slow. A week or 2 in, Valentine's Day rolls around, and ex-friend requests a date. Nothing fancy, just a casual date. L spends all of his money (we're all broke teens, btw), and ex-friend says that it was a really great date, and she had a lot of fun. Next day, we had a group hangout, we went somewhere in town before eventually going to my house to eat, play Uno, and just vibe. When the food was done, I let everyone know, and they all got food. Except for L, who I noticed hadn't been in the dining room like the others, but was instead in the living room, completely alone. I went to make sure that he was aware that the food was done and noticed he was clearly upset about something. As not to draw too much attention to him, I left him be. Later that night was our school's Valentines Day dance. L had decided to go with ex-friend earlier that week and didn't want to just flake. Later that night, I ended up talking to L about why he had been upset that day in private dms. I hadn't noticed it initially, but it turned out that ex-friend had been actively ignoring/avoiding L the entire day, which my bf had noticed, and even at the dance. We talked more about it for a while, mostly him venting about it, which is fine, let the men in your life have emotions. The next night, a majority of the group was in a call together, except L. I left the call for a while in order to shower, and a bit later, my bf told me about how ex-friend had said she broke it off with L. I messaged L about this, and evidently, she hadn't told him. At all. L showed me screenshots of their dms, and not one message stating that she wanted to end their little trial. I confronted her about this private, and what she claimed was breaking it off was her saying "Hey, I want to take things slow," as if that wasn't what was happening. And everything she showed me as proof of her saying she wanted to break it off was "I want to take things slow," as if she hadn't asked him to a date and dance. So, L does officially break it off, and that was pretty much the end of it. However, everyone who knew about it (L, my bf, & I) collectively agreed that it was a dick move to ask him to a date where he spent all of his money, then completely ignore him the next 2 days, including at a hangout and a dance that she invited him to, to then tell everyone except for him & myself (meaning she told all mostly single men, excluding my bf) that she wasn't talking to him anymore, and to show absolutely no remorse for it until I lowkey kinda forced her to apologize. Pretty dickish.
Now, why did she not just get removed then? Simple answer, we kinda felt it would be too complicated. Several of us had classes with her (I had 4, sitting right next to her), so it'd be awkward. It would've also been complicated to explain the entire situation to everyone.
But why do it now if not then? She's been lying a shit ton recently, and she's actually annoyingly terrible at it. What pisses me off most is that she lied about me directly after I gave her a place to sleep, twice. And both times she invited her bf to come over in the morning without asking or telling anyone, my entire household tends to sleep half naked, btw. She continuously lied about my bf, hella copies me, and tries to blame our coworkers for literally every mistake she makes at work, which is completely unfair to them. She even lied about what happened with L to the newest addition to the group, claiming that he wouldn't leave her alone when she broke it off with him, despite the fact that she literally hadn't told him. And her hypocrisy is noticable, too, like when she told my bf that she would never be interested in a job in cybersecurity bc her mother majored in it (she hates her mom), only to turn around and tell me that she actually is interested in it because her mother had done it. Additionally, she told her bf & another group member that she didn't want to be friends with the newest member (E) bc E had been "forcing her depression" onto ex-friend. E was brought into the group by ex-friend, and tried to remain friends with ex-friend, who literally had it in her bio that she's "always here for you," but the second it got utilized, it was forcing depression onto her. As someone who is/was actually the therapist friend to about 9 people (not exactly everyone currently in the group, some past friends, only 5 current group members), E being one of the currents, that is not at all what she does. And for the most recent act, ex-friend decided to go 94[mph] down the highway with 3 passengers, 2 being uncomfortable with this, and whilst her car was actively screaming at her not to. She endangered every single one of us. She's proven time and time again that she is dishonest, inconsiderate, unaccountable, irresponsible, and unapologetic.
The biggest issue that has come of this is the fact that nobody has an issue with ex-friend's bf, not even myself. He's a decent guy, fun to be around and everything, we want him to stay in the group, however, he's leaning towards her. I'm unsure if he even fully knows what happened, or if he only knows what she's told him, which I expect to be lies. He also hasn’t asked about it. So I'm beginning to wonder if it needs to be something that I bring up to him. And then I wonder how we as a group can convince him to stick with us. I fear that the only way would be to convince him to leave her, but that feels a bit invasive. And complicated. She is his first girlfriend, and I doubt he would so easily let that go, considering he didn't with the first warning. If he was unwilling to end a day long relationship, I highly doubt he'd want to end a 5 month one unless she severely wronged him specifically, but I'm unsure that he'd leave even then. And it seems causing problems with and lying about most, of not all, of his friends wasn't enough.
Part of me kinda hopes that they find this.
