high tolerance for no reason?

I don't use drugs regularly at all, but I have some experience. I had a surgery this summer and was overprescribed painkillers (hydrocodone). After taking it as prescribed for a week or so, on and off, I just left the bottle sitting around for a couple months with 10 pills left (10mg). I decided to try them one night to see if it would be interesting. I understand this was very stupid and accepted the risks going into it. I was also aware of the potential risks of having too much acetaminophen. I researched dosage and took three. I don't remember the experience that well, not because I had memory loss, but because it was uneventful. All that happened was I stayed up later (I'm usually not a night owl) and felt a little dizzy at one point. There were two more times I took the rest of the pills (30mg and 40mg doses), all three of the times being at least a month apart from each other. The only eventful moments included feeling like I looked a little weird in the bathroom mirror (2nd time) and again feeling dizzy (3rd time). But I didn't feel "good" like people describe it, just pretty normal. Both of these times I was drowsy rather than being awake. All three times I had at least a little food with the pills in order to prevent nausea.

My only other drug experience was sharing a blunt with two friends, the one person had very little so myself and the other girl basically split it. I didn't feel anything. I expected it to make me feel calm, giggly or paranoid since that's what happens to my friends who smoke but I felt exactly the same. Meanwhile, the girl (who was at least 40 pounds heavier than me) was super noticeably high and acting weird. She had smoked once or twice before whereas I never had. Also, I was on an empty stomach.

Is my situation odd? I'm a pretty small person (115-120 lbs) and had zero tolerance at these times, so I would expect dosages to hit much harder (or at all). Also, it's important to mention I had no other substances like alcohol in my body when I had these experiences. I'm not planning on doing any more drugs (maybeee weed again but I don't have a strong desire), just curious about why I didn't feel a high.
