Help! Itzaland Scarfworm Puzzle

Okay I did the 3-snail puzzle by the Snail Ranch no problem, but what about the other version of this puzzle in Spira below World of Weaving shop??

So there are 5 holes on the beach, 1 hole near the snail you can giant-scare and move, and another hole on the path, and lastly the hole in front of the log that has the whimstar; there are NO crates around.

I tried moving a rental snail and Whirly to block but they do NOT block the scarfworms from coming up. Anyone know the trick??
