Is there any risk to my main Battle.net account?

Hello!

I’m fairly new to Project Diablo 2. I was looking through older posts on the subreddit but wasn’t sure how up-to-date that info was, so I wanted to ask for a current perspective.

Is there any risk of Blizzard banning a main Battle.net account for using the Project Diablo 2? I’m assuming it’s generally considered safe, and at this point it may be too late to worry, but I wanted to double-check. I know Blizzard is aware of the mod, but I’d rather be cautious since I don’t want to risk losing my main account.

Even though PD2 uses its own launcher and doesn’t interact with the Battle.net client, I bought my Diablo 2 keys on my main account, so I wasn’t sure if that technically links anything.

I realize this might be a basic question, but I figured it didn’t hurt to ask. Thanks!
