Xt-30 III Lens

Hello! I am planning to buy the x-t30 iii in the next couple of weeks, and I’m pretty new to cameras, i do have experience but never dabbled in lens or anything like that. But, would the kit lens be good for street photography/ travelling and everyday use/parties. I’ve heard about pancakes lenses but I do not know much. Any help would be great😁
