Was anyone else in Scripps Ranch part of the Apache reservation (Rice School) exchange as a kid?

I’m over 50 years old now, and I still remember it as one of the best experiences in my life. Those of us that went to school at Miramar Elementary were so lucky to go to San Carlos and spend some time there.

And the kids we met, came back home and spent time with us. What an amazing experience.

I remember that Joan Gass ran it and it ran for about 16 years.

I wish things like this still happened.
