Physical Therapy : long term or temporary?
Not asking for medical advice, just experiences.
I've only ever done PT for a few months at a time - normally my insurance only covers like 10-20 visits a year. In the past this hasn't been an issue because either it's PT to rehab after a surgery or it just hurt more than it help.
Well, now I've found an EDS PT, and I'm curious if it'll be a case of temporary treatment that I'll "graduate" from, or if it's a chronic thing I will be doing for a while to maintain my body.
Honestly, I would prefer the latter, as it's been so helpful. But I'm not sure if it's different with EDS (probably aEDS), since it's a chronic condition, with insurance. I imagine as I progress the quantity of visits per week will decrease (currently seeing PT 2-3x a week), but I'm not sure if having a firm end date is healthy or sustainable.
Anyone have experience with this?
