My 13-year-old daughter and I went into a “designer fragrance” shop this afternoon. It was the first time I got to smell Lattafa Khamra, and while the shop owner and I were talking about how good it smelled, my kid was sniffing testers for other perfumes. They found Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Black, and they said, “Mom, smell this!” They handed me the test strip, and while I thought it was good, I thought it had a distinct sharpness to it that I couldn’t identify.

When we walked out of the shop, they said, “I put a little on my wrist. Smell it! It’s so good!” Again, I took a sniff and wow, did it change on their skin! It was herbaceous and floral, without any of the sharpness I detected earlier.

About an hour later, I asked how their wrist was smelling, and they extended their wrist towards my nose. The scent had morphed AGAIN! This time, it was lavender vanilla, and it was what I imagined when I posted asking for recommendations about a week ago. I know it’s marketed for men, but it has the most beautiful drydown on a lavender fragrance I’ve smelled, maybe ever. Absolutely stunning! I asked if they wanted a bottle, and they said yes, that they’d actually wear it if they had it.

I bought it for them for Christmas from Jomashop, and I’m hoping they will let me spritz some on once in a while.

I Had No Idea!
