Is there a way to automate backing up all my files to a /v1/ or /v2/ folder?

I can't seem to figure out how to do it with ns.scp() and there is no equivalent for the copy command ns.cp(). I don't think an alias even works for this, or at least I don't know how. It felt so silly and burdensome to type the command, the directory, and then every single filename twice just to back them all up. I'd probably not back things up anymore rather than do it the long way so probably best to ask.

I've tried moving the file to a folder (doable with ns.mv() in program) and then trying some copy shenanigans to get it back in the root folder, but to no avail. I tried ns.scp() copying the file to another server but it automatically retains the directory and I can't figure out how to prevent that. So when I go to move it from that server back to the home server (hopefully in the home directory), it just moves it into the same folder it was copied from. I've also tried adding any combination of "../" or ".." to commands to try to move to a sub-directory. There's gotta be something simple I'm overlooking. Thanks.
