It’s difficult to comprehend that most people aren’t suicidal at some point

Was sharing some drinks with a friend I haven’t seen in ages and the conversation took a dark turn, not in a bad way just in a morbidly curious way and they told me that they’ve never been suicidal at any point in their life. That absolutely floored me. I mean, in the back of my head I know that’s the norm for most people but to be told that without hesitation to my face just floored me for some reason (spiraled a bit but alas).
