What is the importance of an approved I-130 in your AOS inside Us?

Background : I am on F2A category, and I have filed I-130 ( PD July 26,2024), and I have sent my AOS package on July 2nd, 2025

Question: what is the importance in my case to have an I-130 approved, if I am doing AOS inside US? Does my I-130 needs to be approved in order to my car to move forward?
