Are auto rides becoming an issue in trivandrum also?

Three years back when I moved here picking an auto from thampanoor to vattiyoorkav wasn't much an issue. Either through aggregators or the prepaid booking counters or just hailing an auto worked. But nowadays every morning it's becoming an hassle. Ola/uber/rapido are not accepting the rides. Number of autos available at prepaid counters vs demand is too skewed at peak hours. On road auto driver's ask almost double the charges without meter.

Did I just come out of my bubble or is this happening all the while?
