Won't Record Audio

Hey all. I'm having trouble getting my phone to use my wireless earbuds to record audio on the messages & camera app. On phonecalls, the earbuds will work. But for anything else, the phone will default to it's speaker. I have tried with multiple earbuds. This wasn't an issue before, but I did a factory reset somewhat recently & just noticed this issue.
