Questions regarding Kobo eGift Card Black Friday deal

Hi everyone! I just saw that there’s a Black Friday deal for the Kobo eGift Card where you receive a bonus $10 eGift when you send a $50 Kobo eGift. I found out that this deal is only available in the US, so I have a few questions:

1. Can I send the eGift card to myself and still receive the $10 bonus?
2. I live outside the US — can I still redeem the eGift card?
