Mother and grandmother had hysterectomies in their 40s
So my grandmother (maternal) and mother both had hysterectomies around the same age, around their 40s. My grandmother had a full/radical hysterectomy, I don’t know what symptoms she might of had that led to it she never disclosed that and she’s too old now to ask lol. My mother had a total (uterus+cervix) due to extreme heavy bleeding and a big cyst, but never had any other symptoms throughout her life up until that point ( or at least any that were noticeable to her) . Neither of them ever got diagnosed with endometriosis since I guess it was never something that really occurred to them or they weren’t really informed on it at the time. As someone who is obviously gonna have to watch out for this, what are the chances that its most likely endo? Is there any other possible reasons? And if anyone with a similar family medical history ended up getting or not getting the same thing?
