I already have people in my life asking me for financial assistance when I only drive a 2018 Toyota. If I upgrade to a 2020 Lexus, how much worse is that going to get?

Question

How often did you get people asking for help with your resources when you had a Toyota?

And then how much did that intensify when you got a Lexus?

My current car is a 2018 Toyota Prius Prime Premium.

My intended next car is a 2019 or 2020 Lexus ES300h Ultra Luxury.

Lexus drivers, how do you deal with friends asking for various kinds of handouts from you?

Should I only upgrade to a newer Toyota instead that gets even more miles to the gallon than the Prius Prime?

I like to be frugal with my spending which is why I am now in a plug-in hybrid that only costs ~$25/week to refuel, and I normally drive 400-600 miles a week.

I wonder what reliable Toyota or Lexus model gets the most miles to the gallon of the entire brand. Thanks in advance.
