SOF Officer M7 Chances/Expectations

Howdy!

I’m planning to transition from the military within the next year (I'll be out November 2026) and have been planning my exit. The next step for me is to take full advantage of the G.I. bill and pursue an MBA hopefully at an M7 school. I'm hoping some of you could give me a realistic expectation based on my current credentials.

Work experience:

Lieutenant time (4 years) as a logistics officer leading up to a 100 Soldiers, a battalion operations officer and company executive officer. 1 deployment.

Captain time (another 4 years) as a special operations officer working in everything from the US embassy in a country I won't disclose, doing international joint training, several schools (language school, SERE, etc..)

In total I'll have 9 years in service when i get out, traveled to several foreign areas and held various leadership positions.

Extra curricular: Played division 2 rugby, 2 honor societies and leadership positions in my fraternity while in undergrad.

Undergrad: 3.87 GPA majored in Communication from a state school.

Other: Several other army schools needed for my career and training.

Race/nationality: White/USA

Sex: Male

GRE: Last GRE I took was for my Captains Course with an average score. I'll be taking another in the next few months. Currently on the GregMAT plan and studying nearly daily.

My main goal is Kellogg however realistically I plan to send out about 6 applications in total.

I'm going to take some time for myself to decompress after service so I'm looking to attend in 2027 if it all works out. If any of you would be so kind to share your experiences, feedback or recommendations I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
