How do you guys find love interest?

Hey so I’m an 18 year old Bisexual male. I’ve never been in a relationship but I do want to experience one. I was thinking about going out in my city and going to events and maybe hopefully meeting someone my type who is also lgbtq. How do you guys find romantic partners?? What’s the best way to go about it? Any ideas and tips?
