Gen z is rlly weird abt lesbians
I wanna preface this by saying that I am gen z so I'm not an older person who's just mad at the younger generation for the sake of being mad okay.
I've noticed that gen z kind of sees lesbianism as a punchline or a comeback. Ppl joke abt "becoming lesbian" when they're drunk, or them and their bsf getting "lesbian allegations", or how their golden retriever boyfriend is "spiritually lesbian". And it's all dressed up in this progressive bullshit bc its young ppl who don't consider themselves homophobic making these jokes. And when u try to bring it up ppl tell u "it's not that deep".
So many in gen z would call themselves allies but they're not. They use these identities for their own gain and entertainment and then call it allyship. "Oh I'm not homophobic bc sometimes I like to wear lesbian like it's an accessory and then take it off before the night ends!!" That's what they all sound like to me. I also think that so many of them don't see lesbianism for what it actually is, which is: women lovin on each other. Instead they see it as smth abstract, smth that everyone just gets to try on every once and a while. Anyone can be a lesbian! No go ahead try it, it doesn't fucking matter bc lesbian attraction to women is not real!! It's just an idea floating around in the nothingness!! Yayyy allyship 👍
