8 months

Anniversaries/Celebrations

I posted on here a while back about smelling a bottle of whiskey i still had in the house when I was 1 week sober, and I can very happily say I am officially 8 months sober!!

After everything that happened and the great advise I got on here I went to a meeting and have been consistently going to one every week, I haven't gotten to a second regular meeting, everyone keeps saying it will help but due to my autism I find new places incredibly difficult. I did try one with my sponsor but I didn't like it and it made me even more glad for my home meeting.

We had our contious meeting last week and I have taken up a service possition which I am oddly really excited to do no clue if that's weird or not.

Im back at college (again) kinda weird in a class of 16-18 year old, being nearly a decade older then most of them πŸ˜‚ and there being only 4 adults on my cource, funnily enough tho we have basicly been nominated as the class's mums and kinda keep an eye out for the younger girls.

Sorry if this is a bit ranty or random kinda just using this like a diary πŸ˜…

Anyway just wanted to come on and post and say thanks to anyone who commented on my last post telling me to get rid of the bottle I had and get to a meeting coz that's was the best advice and deffinarly what I needed to do, it's only been 8 months but so much has chnaged for the better in the past 8 months and I am so much happier sober compared to where I was this time last year.

Oh and my AA meeting are doing a Christmas party on Friday and this might be the first one I actually enjoy and remember πŸ˜‚
