AIO that there are multiple choice questions for poetry on my English exam?

🎓 academic/school

Im in AP English and half of the exam is multiple choice, a portion of which is multiple choice on poetry. The problem is that if art is subjective and poetry is art, why are there objective answers for something so subjective? MCQs mean that there is a definite, absolute answer for something, but most of these questions are about the meaning of the poem and what certain stanzas convey to the readers etc. I dont understand why I'm losing marks for getting a different message out of a poem than the person who made the question--and some of the options are so similar to each other that I think it's unfair that one is "wrong" and the other is "right". Am I just mad that I'm bad at understanding poetry, or do I actually have a point? Because I really don't know but it makes me really mad because I don’t think I'm actually stupid, I think I just take away different things from different poems and I shouldn't get a lower grade for that.
