Food runner to server for Flemings (Rancho Cucamonga. CA)

I have a couple years of experience as a server at Olive Garden. I was wondering if I should take the job offer at flemings as food runner and move up to a server or look else where. My goal is getting into fine dining as a server but think that it might take too long
